Camino Registration Now Open!

Join MTA for the El Camino Maitland, an annual fundraiser event, happening September 21-22, 2024. 

Registration includes maps, shuttles, and more!

Participants challenge themselves by hiking the entire trail, or a distance they choose, over the course of a single weekend, meeting new people along the way.  Checkpoints are staffed by friendly volunteers who provide encouragement, snacks and support to help you reach the finish line!

NEW FOR 2024! Kids 17 & under hike for FREE and FREE PARKING!

This is a 2-day hike that mostly follows the entire Maitland Trail from the trail head near Auburn to the shores of Lake Huron in Goderich. Near the finish line, hikers are rewarded with a magnificent view of the Maitland River and Lake Huron while crossing the 750-foot Menesetung Bridge!
