ABOUT THE MAITLAND WOODS TRAIL

The Maitland Woods is a wetland located within the town’s boundary on town-owned land. The trails are proudly maintained by volunteers of the Maitland Trail Association. MTA has been providing this unique experience of a candlelit winter walk for over 30 years, and has contributed to creating an increased awareness of this woodland within our community, which helped to secure the long term health of the ecosystem. Building awareness of this urban wetland is the first step to ensuring that it is valued by residents.  We encourage everyone to get outside and walk to keep healthy and happy … and to protect these special places within our community.
