Spring on the Trail, Saturday May 14th, 10am-2pm
This year Spring on the Trail will be held at all twelve Trail Heads along the G2G Rail Trail. Even though they are not all connected yet, this is a great opportunity for the communities to support the trail and invite those arriving at the various trail heads into their community. MTA is the furthest west of all the trail heads and has been a steward of this end for many years.
We hope to see lots of people out, walking, running, strolling, cycling, whatever you choose to do, and for however far you wish to go. If you would like a bit of guidance, we are offering two guided hikes.
Since May 14th is also International Migratory Bird Day, there will be a bird hike at 11:00 am, lead by our local bird expert, Roger Goddard.
At 1:00 pm we are offering a children’s hike, for kids of all ages. Children under 6 need to be accompanied by an adult. There will be treats for the children along with the fun of hiking with their friends.
There will be draws at each of the trail heads. Participants will need to register and pay the $25 registration fee (which is also the membership to the G2G) in order to have their name put in the draws. Or you may register on line springonthetrail.ca or check the website for further details.
Meet at the Rock in Goderich to participate in this lively event.
