Lantern Making Workshop
When: Saturday January 23 and Sunday January 24, 10 am – 4 pm, both days
Where: Parks Dept. Shed, Parsons Court, Goderich
For some extra fun at the annual favourite Candlelit Walk – kickoff to Winterfest 2016 – come make your own lantern to light the trail! Attend one or both Lantern Making workshops being held at the Parks Department Shed on Parsons Court, Saturday, January 23 and Sunday, January 24 (2 weeks before the Walk) from 10 am to 4 pm.
If you want to display your wonderful lanterns, bring them early Friday, February 6 to the Candlelit Walk where you will install and light them where you like along the trail. Remember to take them home with you after the walk. The Candlelit Walk runs 7:30-9 pm – in any weather – in any weather – at the Maitland Woods, behind the Knights of Columbus Centre on Parsons Court.
Please register early for the workshops to prevent cancellation and ensure a space by calling instructor Karen Melady 519-524-7518. Leave a message with your name, numbers (adults/children), contact, and which day(s) you prefer. Pay the $10 materials fee to Karen at the workshop. All are welcome, but children need to bring a hands-on, adult helper.
Lantern or not, come and be a part of this magical winter evening in the Maitland Woods, sponsored by MTA.
